Attended best friend's wedding here, which is really cosy.
Food was delicious π Service from the crew was awesome too! All instructions for the wedding arrangement were followed to the "P" for perfect!
Only thing negative was entrance is within Museum where there's too much Museum visitors poking nose to KPO π
Fantastic ambience, not crowded on Thursday lunch, very bright and spacious area. Sgd55++ for 3 course meal, complimentary water and bread served, beef carpaccio was great, mushroom soup was meh. Wagyu rump was powdery and tasteless, farro risotto was not bad but didn't quite satiate, taste was one dimensional. Chocolate popsicle and croissant cheesecake were passable, looked great but taste was average. 5 stars for ambience, 4 stars for service, 3 stars for taste of food. Paying for the surrounds rather than a tasty meal. Parking at national museum itself, gantry is always problematic. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.
πΈ We found capturing moments at a recent wedding held at Flutes to be an absolute delight! π The venue exuded a delightful elegance and regal ambiance, nestled right inside the iconic National Museum. ποΈ The timeless black and white aesthetics added an extra touch of charm and sophistication, making the entire wedding affair truly memorable. π If you're a couple looking for an absolutely stunning venue for your special day, we highly recommend Flutes! πΈβ¨
Decided to have a fancy birthday dinner and chanced upon this restaurant online. The service, ambience and food were spot on from start til end.
Price point was fairly decent as well for the quality of food.
Special shout out to our server, Bing that was very attentive but also gave us our privacy throughout the dinner.
Would definitely return at some point to try their different menu.
Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, with high expectations, given the awesome reviews. First impression was good - ambience was bright and spacious, with high ceilings and classy decor. Service was attentive, but I felt it was a bit impersonal and lacked a certain warmth. Nevertheless, we got everything we needed, and staff did all the necessary for a fine dining restaurant such as pulling our seats back and forward as we sat down. So far, so good. We ordered 2 executive set lunches, and I opted to top up $18 for the Wagyu rump. We selected the carpaccio and truffle mushroom soup for starters. The carpaccio was very thinly sliced and not bad, but the mushroom soup lacked oomph, and I couldn't taste much truffle. I've had heartier mushroom soups at buffet lines, so not a good start food wise. For the mains, we had the farro risotto, and I got the Wagyu rump...which was quite a mistake because despite paying an extra $18, I got a slab of beef that was perhaps 150 to 180g tops, which I couldn't tell was Wagyu, as it lacked any discernible marbling, and was even a tad powdery. My wife enjoyed her risotto much more, but I wasn't a fan either. By then I was quite disappointed with the food, and the dessert didn't do much to redeem the meal. The entire meal came up to be about $150, and for that price, I could go to many places for a better meal - perhaps not as good as ambience nor service, but to me, food quality is the most important metric.
Aside from the well-worth it executive lunch, Flutes gets a 5-star for its service and friendly staff, creating a very welcoming environment for the family after a morning of dragging the boys through various museum exhibits.
We ended up with 4 set meals that everyone enjoyed (including our two fussy eaters), and left ready to take on the second half of the day with renewed energy.
Iβll be keeping Flutes on my list of places to bring more discerning guests to in the future.
Wonderful experience beyond my expectation. Walk in during lunch time without reservation, it was really a surprise to found out plenty of available seats.
The wagyu was perfect, very tender and zero burden of chewing, decorated with pickles balanced the meat quite well.
The soup of day was not that satisfying compared to main course. Crab may not be a good choice for soup, as it seems create bitter taste.
Butter pudding with grapes is worth to try, ice cream was very delicious, and the wine within it refresh all kinds of sweet.
The service is fine generally. Space to improve is the staff can try to slow down their rhythm and pay more attention to details, suits the quiet and comforting environment better.
The executive set lunch here is value for money, with nice presentation of food. Go for the beef option if it is in the menu. Taste of food doesn't disappoint and the dining ambience is great, though it can be a tad dining in the main dining hall especially if seated next to a large group of dinners seated in a long table arrangement.
